January Employee Spotlight: Shenneka Estell

Shenneka

Shenneka Estell has just recently become the House Manager for our new Memory Care home. Shenneka has worked at Mayberry Gardens for 2 years.

Shenneka moved to the DFW area from Texarkana. She felt she just needed a change so she brought her family to the Big City. She has three children. Her oldest is 19 and just started attending the University of Texas at Austin on a full ride academic scholarship. He graduated as the valedictorian of his high school class!!!! Her middle child is a Senior at North Mesquite High and is planning on becoming an elementary school teacher and attending UNT Denton after graduation. Her youngest is a freshman at North Mesquite High and has started on his high school football and basketball team.

Shenneka has worked as a Caregiver for the last 8 years. She was motivated to become a Caregiver because of the special relationship she had with her Grandmother growing up. She most enjoys listening to Seniors and feels a sense of happiness by assisting them with their needs. She recommends to anyone wanting to become a caregiver to make sure you have a passion for working with Seniors and patience.

Some things you may not know about Shenneka is she can play the saxophone and loves Kenny G. She also went to beauty school but didn’t enjoy it as much as she thought she would.

Shenneka does a fantastic job at Mayberry Gardens and we just wanted to showcase her to everyone else and tell her Thank You for a job well done!
